School-Age Classes
Whether your child is brand new to the sport or moving through higher levels of training, gymnastics offers the opportunity to develop athletic and social skills that boost health, team participation, and confidence in achieving goals.
Gymnastics goes beyond just the technicalities of the equipment and routines; it enhances many types of physical fitness that translate well to other sports. Each class delivers a variety of activities that build coordination, strength, flexibility, and endurance.
The sequential learning style of our classes retains core skills while bringing in new techniques at each level to master the next challenge. Students gain not only knowledge but also awareness in a group environment that increases their communication abilities.

Our beginner level helps children learn basic skills that will help them excel as a budding gymnast. Through a list of ever-changing exercises, coaches can instill a sense of confidence in the students as they grow with each session. As with all of our classes, safety rules are reinforced to make sure each child can navigate the gym.
By the time students are in intermediate level courses, they should have a firm grasp on combining gymnastics moves with more difficult elements. Coaches will encourage gymnasts to push themselves out of their comfort zone to gain new skills. Strength and flexibility training will also be emphasized in order to build the muscles necessary to advance.
In advanced classes, gymnasts will be taught to master each apparatus the gym has to offer. As the final level of our recreational program, coaches can push their students to strive for skills that build upon their hard work and dedication. Students will have the opportunity to construct their own routines to perform in class.
Open for ages four and up, pop n’ play allows gymnasts of all levels to practice skills or simply have fun! While in the gym, enrolled members have access to any apparatuses and equipment that aren’t being used by classes. Coaches will be present on the floor at all times to ensure the safety of all participants.
Head Over Heels is proud to offer a wide variety of classes to fit the needs of every child in our community. As with many of our programs, we aim to enrich the lives of underprivileged youths while helping them build a more confident future. We believe all children should have an opportunity to thrive in a safe, fun space–a philosophy which extends to our special needs program.
Class sizes will be limited to five students to ensure a calm, controlled environment with minimal distractions. With these smaller class sizes, we can allow a parent/aid to accompany the child if needed. During these sessions, children will be able to increase their physical and social abilities under the guidance of experienced coaches.
To ensure that we find the best course for your child, all potential students must attend a free evaluation through Head Over Heels. Students must be six years or older to be eligible for the program.
