Darcy started coaching in 1999 at Diablo Gymnastics in San Ramon – the same gym he did gymnastics at as a child. In March of 2021 Darcy joined the staff at HOH as a well seasoned coach able to work with athletes from preschool to level 10 gymnasts. He has designed and implemented recreational and preschool programs for several local gyms and his favorite event to coach is uneven bars.
“I take great pride in my work as a coach. I enjoy the journey of helping young gymnasts achieve their goals whether it’s a forward roll or a pac salto. Watching a young athlete’s expression of joy in making a skill for the first time never gets old. At the end of the day I know I have made a positive impact on a young person’s life and that makes it all worthwhile.”
