CAMP POLICIES
(Updated January 2024)

Refunds

In the event that you choose to cancel your camp enrollment, HOH requires a minimum of two weeks notice in order to receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. Any cancellations within two weeks of the enrolled program will not be eligible for any refunds or credits unless illness or injury with a doctor’s note. The doctor’s note must be given to HOH staff within two weeks of the program cancellation in order to receive the full refund minus the $50 administration fee.

Sunscreen Use

Campers should come with sunscreen on and apply when needed. Coaches are unable to assist with this process.

Photo Release

From time to time, Head Over Heels takes photographs and video of camp activities and participants for use in editorial and/or promotional material. When your child attends camp, you provide us with permission to take their photo for marketing purposes. You grant Head Over Heels all rights to use these sound, still or moving images in any medium for educational, promotional, advertising or other purposes that support the mission of our organization. All rights to the photographs or video belong to Head Over Heels. Please contact Joy@HOHAthleticArts.com if you do not consent to your child being photographed.

Epi-Pens

Parents/Guardians of campers who need to have or carry an Epi-Pen at camp must complete a Head Over Heels Authorization Form, complete with a physician’s signature, and submit it to the Camp Director no later than the first day of camp.

Late Pick-up Fee

HOH charges $1 / minute for care extending past the end of aftercare. The total amount accrued must be paid in full upon pick-up.

Potty Training

Head Over Heels is not a licensed day care and, therefore, cannot assist children with using the restroom. Campers must be 100% potty trained; able to independently use the restroom unassisted. Parents will be called to pick up their child if they have a BM so they can help them get properly cleaned up.  It is our policy that if a camper has more than 2 accidents during camp they will not be allowed to continue. In this instance, a refund will be issued for the days unattended, less a $50 administration fee.

Behavioral Policy

Teaching children gymnastics and aiding them with the acquisition of new physical capabilities requires adequate listening skills to ensure the safety of all parties involved (campers, coaches, and practicing gymnasts). HOH implements a strict behavioral policy to minimize safety hazards and maximize camper enjoyment.

Children are expected to follow camp rules as well as our facility and safety rules (i.e. how to walk through the gym, how to fall safely, how to use the equipment properly). If a camper is unable to follow directions after a coach has worked with them to change unwanted behavior, the Camp Director will become involved to assist.

If rules continue to be broken after meeting with the Camp Director, the camper will be removed from the floor/activity until they are ready and able to join the group. Parents will be notified of the behavior and what needs to happen in order for the camper to continue their time at camp.

In the case of a second behavioral incident, parents/guardians will be required to pick-up their child from camp with the option to try again the following day. If a third behavioral incident occurs, the camper will need to be picked up and will be unable to continue their time at HOH. Any remaining days that will go unattended will be refunded. There is a $50 administration fee per camp registration assessed to all refunds.

Group Requests

If your child has a friend or sibling and you would like to request they are in the same group, please click the GROUP REQUEST button below to complete a Group Request form. We will do our best to accommodate.

Group Request

All requests should be made at least three days in advance as it is very difficult to accommodate requests made after this time. If the age gap between two friends/siblings is too large, or if the dynamics between the friends/siblings is such that they have trouble interacting safely in the same group, the request may be denied.
